Violin by Vincenzo Postiglione, Naples, ca 1885. Beautiful one piece back with narrow to medium width flames. Sides and scroll from the same piece of wood. The table is from tight-grained Tyrolian spruce. Excellent orange-brown varnish over a golden ground. Clear, powerful tone, with plenty of color and nuance.
