One of the highlights of our show will be the the pieces written by Hurd for Daniel Alexander's powerful documentary, Freeing Bernie Baran, about an openly gay man wrongfully accused of sex crimes and imprisoned for 20 years. Its an amazing movie and is making a tour of the film festivals now to rave reviews. (Learn more at We may even have a trailer to screen for you at the show!

Throughout the evening the music will blend elements of classical, electronic, jazz, rock, ambient & experimental, with digitally-arranged sounds weaving textures that create an extremely organic sound despite its digital roots.

Made up of violin (Solenn Seguillon), viola (Jacob Hansen-Joseph), cello (Anton Estaniel), bass (Ari Gorman), vibraphone and piano (Elyse Weakley) bass clarinet (Annie Philips) & electronics, our music is wildly rhythmic & aglow with shimmering harmonies & melodies. Accessible & daring, The Hurd Ensemble's percussive yet lyrical qualities make it at home in both concert halls & nightclubs.

Doors at 730pm, show starts at 8pm.
Suggested donation is $15.
